This Blog and its Future.
Well I've been doing a lot of thinking.
When am I not thinking?
Anyway I've been blogging here since 2010 its been fun as a personal journal for myself and a kind of escape.
I've been trying to stay below the radar as much as possible so far so good!
I haven't considered shutting it down yet as it still has some purpose I think.
Really I've kept this blog pretty close to home and haven't really deviated from what I set out to do with it.
I do have a few drafts that have been sitting around for a while but I just want to avoid the wrong kind of attention right now.
I ask myself, "Well what kind of attention do I want?", and that I do not know.
I just know I don't want this to turn into what was my previous blog that gave to much away to others and not enough to myself.
The reward for that was really nothing, yeah I made a few friends and that is good but it seemed transitory because I do not hear from those people I met there anymore.
So what to do with it?
I've been thinking about a blog redesign first off.
I honestly don't want it to turn into a pop blog that gets tossed around the internet because of its pictures.
I don't want it to turn into a micro blog that goes through every passing second of my life.
What I'd like is something that stays around til the end of the internet (whenever that is), as a piece of history.
I do want to make it a bit more interactive so maybe stopping the comment approval thing might happen.
I think applying a background song to each individual post would give them more character but at the cost of time invested. (which is something I have very little of)
Splitting the blog in half with the married with kids character and myself on the other might make it easier for readers to tell between fact and fiction. Perhaps even a third section that is a conglomeration of both.
The social networking thing...Yeah about that...I try to keep my various social networking apps separate from each other and I diced my Facebook two months ago. So not likely to happen.
Hell I don't even put my Lulu store on here.
I've never been good at objective writing I can't write myself out of something I wrote.
So writing about happenings, on TV, the internet, wherever is not likely to make it here.
Unless its something scientifically important, or has an overall fundamental good to myself and others.
I've kept a lot of stuff hidden away now.
There are even secrets I have kept from myself.
Touching on Yoga and physical fitness might be productive.
The Time Travel concepts may seem like nonsense but there is science at work there.
It is definitely for a later time though, (hopefully much later.)
Implementing my adventures in Video Games might make more appearances.
I'll start posting more art as I finish them.
What else?
As for site design I want visitors to feel comfortable here.
Not a homepage but something they check on every once and a while.
My profile needs updating and I thought a sub-profile with a rotating animated gif would be cool.
Still have to KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) and the site should still be easy on the eyes and easier to navigate.
So hopefully over the next month or so time allowing some of these changes will come into effect.
